Aoga Amata Preschool - Proud to be Smokefree

In July 2017 Aoga Amata Preschool participated in the Little Lungs – Pūkahukahu Iti programme. Aoga Amata first completed the workshop in 2014 however with staff turnover, and some faded Smokefree signs they felt they were ready for an update for the health and safety of their children.

After completing the programme staff at Aoga Amata feel more confident to incorporate Smokefree cars and homes messaging into their everyday practice. The centre also recently updated their Smokefree signage.

Aoga Amata regularly participates in Smokefree events including World Smokefree Day at Stadium Southland in May and the recent Little Lungs – Pūkahukahu Iti Facebook competition.  The centre is happy to share the message with their whānau and friends; as their brilliant photos show they are Proud to be Smokefree!
